    Bob provides clients with a comprehensive financial experience that has helped make the group one of the nation’s top producing independent branches of Raymond James. Bob’s integrity and commitment to excellence, aligned with his designation as a Certified Public Accountant*, equip him to soundly advise his clients on virtually any financial issue. His ethical approach, combined with his financial expertise, adds much to the overall financial guidance provided by his team.

    Bob is involved with a number of professional and civic organizations, including the Financial Planning Association and the Tennessee Society of CPAs. He serves or has previously served on a variety of boards and committees, including United Way of Nashville (treasurer), BrightStone (treasurer) an organization that serves adults with special needs, Nashville chapter of Financial Executives International (president), and on the executive committee of the Business Leadership Council of Lipscomb University and the alumni board of the College of Business. Bob also has served on the boards and as treasurer of the Direct Selling Association and Direct Selling Education Foundation in Washington, D.C. Bob was awarded the 2008 Direct Selling Education Foundation’s Circle of Honor Award for his service to the foundation.

    In 2005, the Tennessee Society of CPAs awarded Bob the Outstanding CPA in Industry and Business Award for the state of Tennessee, an award that recognizes the contributions to the profession for CPAs working outside of the accounting realm. Also in 2005, his alma mater, Lipscomb University, recognized him as The Distinguished Alumnus from the College of Business. Bob has degrees in accounting and management from Lipscomb, where he served as student body president and was voted “Mr. Lipscomb” by his peers – one of whom he later married. Bob and Karen, married for more than 35 years, have three children, all in Nashville. They are members of Harpeth Hills Church of Christ. Bob is an alumnus of Christian Leadership Concepts.

    Bob began his career at what is now Deloitte & Touche, where he rose to the rank of manager. After six years, he was recruited by a local Nashville public company, where he served for six years as vice president and secretary/treasurer and served on the board of directors. Bob was next recruited to Southwestern/Great American, Inc., where he served as vice president, chief financial officer and on its board of directors. In his 20-plus years with the company, he served as CFO to a number of the subsidiary companies, several he helped start, including Southwestern Investment Group.

    Bob is a member of the 2015 Raymond James Executive Council**. His education, background, and professional and business experiences bring an added dimension to his role as a Financial Advisor and Investment Management Consultant.

    Zach Hurd is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner at Southwestern Investment Group, Inc., and a Raymond James Financial Advisor. Through Raymond James Financial Services, Inc., Zach and his partner, Bob Sircy, Sr. Vice President, SWIG, provide their clients with sound investment strategies designed to build wealth through comprehensive financial planning. Zach’s integrity and commitment to excellence equip him to soundly advise their clients on virtually any financial issue. His ethical approach, combined with his financial expertise, adds much to the overall financial guidance that his team provides.

    Zach holds the Series 7, 66, Life and Annuity Licenses, is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and is registered as a financial advisor with Raymond James Financial Services, Inc.

    One extremely important aspect of our team is that we are an INDEPENDENT team. By being completely independent, our allegiance is with the client and not with any particular product- as we are not obligated to sell any proprietary funds or products. Rather, we have access to thousands of Mutual Funds, Stocks, Bonds, Certificates of Deposits, Money Market Accounts, Section 529 College Savings Plans, fifty Private Money Management Firms, and thousands of Insurance Products on the market.

    Zach is originally from Portage, Michigan. He graduated from Bethel University in Minneapolis, MN with a degree in Finance and Economics and a minor in pre-medical studies. While at Bethel, he was the captain of the university’s basketball and soccer teams. Zach and his wife Jourdan currently reside in Nashville, where they are involved with their local church, Midtown Fellowship Church and also volunteer with Nashville area Young Life. In their free time, Zach and Jourdan spend time with their Goldendoodle, Colbie, golfing, and enjoy as much time as they can on the lake.

    Elisa joined our team with more than 17 years experience in the investment and securities industry. She holds the series 6, 7, 63, 65, life, health and variable licenses, has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Alabama A&M University, and a master of business administration from Tennessee State University. She moved to Tennessee in 2001, and joined our team in 2017.

    Elisa married her college sweetheart, Nick, and has two children, Tyson and Savannah. On weekends you can find Elisa in the bleachers cheering on the kids, volunteering with a local non-profit, or dining locally with her dinner club.

    Michelle Peterson joined Southwestern Invested Group 2013. She is a graduate of Western Kentucky University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree.  She has extensive experience with administrative tasks and client relations. Today, Michelle resides in her hometown of Franklin with her husband, Mike. The couple have two sons together; Mikey and Patrick. Michelle’s family enjoys attending local sporting and music events as well as entertaining family and friends at their home.
