Jeremy R. George, CFP® grew up on a non-working farm in Lewisburg, TN.  His parents and grandfather exemplified a strong work ethic, a trait that was instilled in Jeremy at an early age. Whether it was cutting the grass, weeding miles of fence rows, working in the garden, or raking sand traps before sunrise at the local golf course, Jeremy was encouraged to work hard and always took pride in giving his best.

Beginning at the age of 5 and throughout his life, Jeremy has been involved in athletics. The invaluable lessons he learned through sports – many of which had very little to do with the act of playing the sport – are something he is passionate about passing along to not only his own children, but also to the children he coaches. Among many other lessons, his coaches and teammates taught him the value in always “showing up” and leaving a place better than when he arrived.  His faith, family, friends, background, and athletics are the driving factors that have shaped Jeremy’s life, along with these simple, yet powerful life lessons.

Jeremy attended Lipscomb University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Finance with a minor in Economics.  He was a standout baseball player during his three years at Lipscomb, which led to one of his most notable accomplishments as a recipient of the Ken Dugan award.  This prestigious award is presented to the player who displays a commitment to excellence, an uncommon display of Christian character, a burning desire to be a true champion, outstanding leadership qualities, and an unbridled passion for the game of baseball.  Jeremy is still active in Lipscomb University and its community, attempting to give back a small portion of what was given to him.  In 2010, Jeremy was named the Official Financial Planner of Lipscomb Athletics.

With more than a decade of experience in the Financial Planning Industry, Jeremy possesses a high degree of knowledge, professionalism, and expertise.  He has received the Series 6, Series 7, Series 63, and Series 66 licenses, along with achieving the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™   practitioner certification through the Certified Board of Standards, Inc.  He was also named to the Raymond James 2014 Executive Council, comprised of Raymond James’ Top Financial Advisors.*  As an advisor at Southwestern Investment Group and with Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. serving as broker/dealer, both of which are independent entities, Jeremy’s allegiance is truly pledged to his client and their needs.

Jeremy and his wife, Hannah, currently reside in Brentwood with their five children, Ella, Miles, Griffin, Trulie, and Hogan.  Jeremy enjoys spending time with his family and friends, working in the yard, exercising, coaching youth sports, golfing, and living out his faith by serving others.

CFP® | Certified Financial Planner™ | Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., owns the certification marks above, which it awards to individuals who successfully complete initial and ongoing certification requirements.

*Executive Council is based mainly upon assets under management, education, credentials and fiscal year production. Requalification is required annually.
